Atletico Madrid are interested in g Oleksandr Zinchenko from Arsenal in the January transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that Arsenal are ready to offload the former Manchester City left-back, and that negotiations over a deal are going on at the moment.
It has been reported that Atletico head coach Diego Simeone personally wants to sign Zinchenko, who can also operate as a midfielder. Simeone believes that the Ukraine international’s versatility will be a boon to his team, who are aiming to win La Liga this season.
Atletico, though, are facing competition for Zinchenko. German club Borussia Dortmund are also keen on a deal for the 28-year-old, who has made only 13 appearances this season. In the 2023-24 campaign, Zinchenko scored one goal and provided two assists in 35 matches in all competitions for Arsenal, who are interested in g Antoine Semenyo from Premier League rivals Bournemouth in the January transfer window.
