Competition: Saudi Pro League

Market: Al-Shabab win

Odds: 8/15 @ BetUS

Hoping to claim consecutive Pro League victories on Thursday afternoon, Al-Shabab will welcome Al-Kholood to Riyadh.

Starting with the hosts, while Al-Shabab might have suffered King Cup heartbreak earlier in the month as they eventually fell to a 3-2 loss against Al-Ittihad, Faith Terim’s men are enjoying what has been a recent flurry. Making an immediate return to winning ways last weekend as they secured a thumping 3-1 victory away at Al-Wehda, the White Lions will be seeking a repeat performance here. Although the Riyadh-based outfit might have accepted that their AFC Champions League dreams are someway off, the former Galatasaray boss finds the mood in his camp at a real high. Heading into March’s international break with a sensational 6-0 romp against Al-Orubah, Thursday’s hosts have collected 13 points from their previous five Pro League appearances – a run that stems back to a 2-2 stalemate against Al-Taawon on February 22nd. Finding a real clinical edge in the final third, Al-Shabab should be relishing a return to Riyadh in midweek.

As for the visitors, while Al-Kholood might have opened March with consecutive Pro League victories, Noureddine Zekri’s men have struggled to find any real stability since marking their top-flight return this season. Still sat in the bottom-half of the table, the former Damac boss has seen his squad suffer back-to-back defeats since returning from March’s fortnight interval. Putting in a worrying performance last week as they fell to a 2-0 defeat at home against Al-Taawon, Thursday’s guests have also gained a reputation for their glaring issues outside of Ar Rass. Last seen on their travels marking their return return from March’s International break with a routine 3-1 defeat against Al-Nassr, Zekri’s side have lost all of their previous five consecutive Pro League showdowns away from the Al-Hazem Club Stadium. With that nightmare rut underlined by a 5-1 drumming at the hands of Al-Hilal on February 25th, we are backing a home victory in midweek.
