Senagal came back from a goal down (scored by Harry Kane in the seventh minute) to beat England in a friendly match at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground on Tuesday, with Ismaila Sarr (40′), Habib Diarra (62′) and Cheikh Sabaly (90+3′) on target for the visitors.
The way the Senegal players and staff celebrated their victory, even though it was merely a friendly match with no competitive relevance, seems to have left a strong impression on England boss Thomas Tuchel.
“We feel what it means for them to beat us… I asked myself would we have celebrated in the same manner?”
