Juventus captain Danilo has left the Serie A club following a mutual termination of the 33-year-old’s contract.
The Brazilian made 213 appearances for the Bianconeri during his five-and-a-half-year stay in Turin, while winning four trophies, including the league title in 2019-20.
Danilo, who ed the Italian side from Manchester City in 2019, has made 12 appearances in this season’s Serie A, with just six of those starts.
However, the defender’s last league appearance came in a 2-2 draw with Venezia on December 14, with head coach Thiago Motta confirming Danilo was free to leave in the January transfer window.
“Danilo has always been an example of professionalism and commitment, from his scoring debut against Napoli on 31 August 2019, until his last match played in Bianconero against Venezia on 14 December 2024,” Juventus said in a statement.

“A champion to whom we can only wish the best: thanks for everything and good luck for the future!”
Danilo was named Juventus’ captain before the 2023-24 season, taking over from Leonardo Bonucci to become the club’s first non-Italian captain in six decades.
He also won two Coppa Italia titles and the Supercoppa Italiana.
Danilo, who has 65 caps for Brazil and has also worn the colours of Porto and Real Madrid in Europe, is reportedly close to ing Flamengo in his homeland on a free transfer.
