Manchester United are interested in g Leon Bailey from Premier League rivals Aston Villa before the transfer window closes on Monday, according to Marcus Rashford, who is undergoing a medical at Villa and will Unai Emery’s side on a loan deal from the Red Devils.
Bailey has been on the books of Villa since the summer of 2021 when he ed from German club Bayer Leverkusen. The 27-year-old Jamaica international winger has scored one goal and given three assists in 29 matches in all competitions for the Villans so far this season. Bailey has scored 21 goals and given 23 assists in 135 matches in all competitions for the Villans so far in his career.
While United are unlikely to challenge for the European places in the Premier League table this season, Villa are aiming to finish in the top four and have also progressed to last 16 stage of the UEFA Champions League.
