Napoli pushing for Jonathan David

Napoli could beat Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United to the g of Lille striker Jonathan David, according to Football Insider. David is out of contract at Lille at the end of the season and has decided to leave the French club as a free agent.

Premier League clubs Tottenham and West Ham are interested in securing the services of David as a free agent, but Napoli are pushing hard to get a deal done for the Canada international striker, who has scored 25 goals and given 12 assists in 49 appearances this season.

Journalist Pete O’Rourke told Football Insider: “I’d fancy Jonathan David to make a move to Italy on a free. 

“I think Napoli seem to be the ones that are really pushing for the Canadian international. 

“So I think there’s more possibility of them playing in Serie A than the Premier League next season.”
