Botafogo and Seattle Sounders will lock horns with each other in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup next week. The Group B match between the Brazilian club and the team from the USA will be held at Lumen Field in Seattle and is scheduled to kick off at 3am UK time on Monday.

“They are very tough teams, with fabulous squads who’ve had a lot of investment. And with one very important detail, which I believe puts us at a disadvantage.
“Both Paris Saint-Germain with Luis Enrique and Atlético de Madrid with Diego Simeone are teams who already have a coach, a way of playing, and a methodology that has been in place for some time now.”
Paiva added: “We will take it game-by-game but when we board the plane to fly to the United States, the goal will obviously be to win the competition, knowing how difficult it’s going to be.
“By winning the next game, we will always be getting closer to winning the competition.
“In addition, we want to make our fans proud with what we do on the pitch. Botafogo’s style and players are defined by certain characteristics and we cannot give that up.”
