Real Madrid are interested in g Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, according to Don Diario. The report in the Spanish news outlet has claimed that Mainoo’s performances for United this season have caught the eye of Madrid Florentino Perez and chief scout Juni Calafat.
Mainoo is having a breakthrough season at United and has established himself as a regular in Erik ten Hag’s first team. The 18-year-old England international midfielder has scored two goals in 17 Premier League for the Red Devils this season. The teenager also made two substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League and scored one goal in three starts and one substitute appearance in the FA Cup for United this campaign.
United are sixth in the Premier League table at the moment with 49 points from 31 matches, as many as 11 points behind Tottenham Hotspur, who are fourth. Meanwhile, Madrid currently find themselves at the top of the La Liga table with 75 points from 30 matches, nine points clear of second-placed and defending champions Barcelona.
